The ASSA ABLOY Brand and Usage
Introduction
These Brand Guidelines establish the terms for appropriate and authorized use of the ASSA ABLOY brand and related assets. By referencing or incorporating the ASSA ABLOY brand in any capacity, users are required to adhere strictly to these Guidelines. They provide a comprehensive outline of acceptable uses and limitations, intended to ensure the brand's consistent representation and to protect its intellectual property. These Guidelines operate in conjunction with ASSA ABLOY's Terms of Service and may be revised periodically to reflect new standards or legal requirements.
ASSA ABLOY Brand Elements and Trademark Usage
The ASSA ABLOY brand portfolio encompasses a range of intellectual property, including registered and unregistered trademarks, trade and domain names, product identifiers, logos, icons, symbols, and design assets, all of which are either owned or licensed by ASSA ABLOY. Usage of any of these elements requires prior, explicit authorization.
In the absence of written authorization from ASSA ABLOY, use of the company's name is permitted exclusively in textual contexts solely for reference purposes, such as in phrases identifying ASSA ABLOY as the source of products or services (e.g., “product of ASSA ABLOY”). Such references must comply with these Guidelines and the underlying Terms of Service and must be limited to accurate, factual representations.
Prohibited Use Cases
To prevent consumer confusion and safeguard brand integrity, any use of the ASSA ABLOY trademark that misleads the public or implies false association is strictly prohibited. Prohibited uses include, but are not limited to:
- Integrating any ASSA ABLOY trademarks into brand elements, including but not limited to brand names, company names, trade names, product or service names, domain names, social media accounts, or application names.
- Displaying ASSA ABLOY trademarks on any merchandise, promotional goods, or physical items, such as apparel or accessories.
- Featuring ASSA ABLOY trademarks as primary visual elements within advertising or marketing materials, in ways that could overshadow or imply undue prominence.
- Presenting ASSA ABLOY trademarks or brand assets in contexts that could be perceived as derogatory, defamatory, or harmful to the brand’s reputation.
- Associating ASSA ABLOY trademarks or other brand assets with any materials, campaigns, or activities that are unlawful or unauthorized.
Modification and Enforcement
ASSA ABLOY reserves the right to amend or modify these Brand Usage Guidelines at any time. Compliance with these terms is mandatory, and any infringement of ASSA ABLOY’s intellectual property rights may result in legal action, including claims for damages, injunctive relief, or other available remedies.
